Sopwell House Hotel Wedding Photography
Photographing Weddings at Sopwell House Hotel
Sopwell House Hotel, near St Albans, Hertfordshire, is fabulous for wedding photography backdrops. Dating back to 1603, it has evolved to offer a perfect blend of the old and newly refined styles.
Its classic splendour from the Georgian period is evident to this day. Whilst the contemporary design twists and luxurious interiors are evident at every turn.
The architecture blends perfectly with the grounds’ huge oaks, poplar and beech trees in 12 acres of wonderful private landscaped gardens. I love working in the landscaped gardens of this gorgeous wedding venue, it really does offer the wow backdrops for great picture opportunities. Their bridge over the lily pond in particular is stunning.
One of its most famous residents, Anne Boleyn, used Sopwell House as a place of refuge for many years.
Above all else, the family run hotel is famous for its personal touch and warmth.
It’s incredible to think that this calm oasis exists so close to London, and the hustle and bustle of nearby St. Albans city centre! So it’s no surprise that Sopwell House ticks all the right boxes for so many wedding couples.
I didn’t get to try the food during this wedding, but it did look absolutely fabulous! However, the hotel’s lovely restaurant is now on my radar for a future get together with friends.
If you’re thinking of getting married at Sopwell House Hotel and are looking for a wedding photographer, I would love to hear from you!
