Odney Club Wedding Photography
The Odney Club is a fabulous venue for wedding photography, with plentiful picture taking opportunities.
Photographing weddings at the Odney Club
The Odney Club is owned by the John Lewis Partnership. It is a private members club for JLP partners and friends. The club has an onsite restaurant and bar, business meeting space and a hotel. They can also host staff weddings in the lovely new extension.
Lillebrooke Manor, as it was known previously, was once occupied by Colonel Ricardo in the early 1900s. This larger than life Cookham resident was reputedly Kenneth Graham’s inspiration for ‘Toad’ in Wind of The Willows. This grand mid 18th Century house sits majestically on the River Thames in Cookham, and the colourful gardens are breath taking for visitors to explore too.
As a wedding venue, the staff of the John Lewis Partnership couldn’t ask for a more fabulous setting than the Odney Club. The 95 acres of riverside gardens are so well maintained. And, the huge wide perennial flower avenue is a must for wedding photography. The river provides so many photography opportunities – we even saw a kingfisher bird perched on a branch, looking for fish in the river!
The staff are helpful too, as the estate is so big they can arrange a golf buggy to travel between the various backdrops on the day. On a scorching hot summers day, this is quite the treat to scoot between locations.
If you’d like to discuss your Odney Club wedding photography requirements, I’d love to hear from you.
