Monkton Barn is a beautiful venue for a wedding, with many photography backdrops. It is located near the gorgeous riverside Buckinghamshire town of Marlow. It offers an idyllic rural civil wedding and reception option for up to 80 guests.

The converted barn with its old wooden beams and oak floors combined with the marquee extension creates a charming intimate feel. The surrounding courtyard, old barns and grass meadows provide so many picture taking opportunities. The 10-acres of rolling grass meadows provide amazing views across the fields and woodland.  The charming woodland dell adds a mystical vibe.  The venue caters for formal ceremonies or more informal festival-style or garden fete weddings.  The choice is yours!

In fact, you’ll see many examples of the photography backdrops available on my gallery. Not only that, but if you ask nicely, they can even arrange for tipi glamping accommodation for your guests!

On the recent Monkton Barn wedding, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for Peter the owner. He oversaw proceedings throughout the day to ensure everything ran smoothly. I appreciated his attention to detail, it’s so nice (& rare) to see a passionate venue owner onsite for the whole day. I would certainly recommended the venue to other couples looking for their perfect wedding location.
