Covent Garden Hotel Wedding Photography
Photographing weddings at the Covent Garden Hotel
The Covent Garden Hotel is located on cobbled Monmouth Street. In the 1890’s, this beautiful building housed a French hospital in an undesirable part of London. In contrast, today it’s one of London’s most desirable areas. The hotel sits in the heart of the theatre district surrounded by trendy independent boutiques, fabulous restaurants, desirable cafes and bars.
Owner and Design Director Kit Kemp has dramatically designed The Covent Garden Hotel interiors with a modern take on old English style.
As a result, the entire hotel is just like a glamorous and colourful film set. The bustling lobby leads into the lively brasserie and bar. The sweeping stone staircase leads to a gorgeously cosy wood panelled drawing room and library, each with its own beautiful fireplace. As well, the rooms themselves have spectacular views overlooking the hustle and bustle outside and Covent Garden’s rooftops.
The Covent Garden Hotel offers sophisticated opulence in the heart of London’s theatre district. And, they even have their own state of the art cinema, what more could you ask for!
I was completely blown away by this hotel when I attended a wedding there a couple of years ago. The Covent Garden Hotel is a perfect smaller wedding venue mixing tradition and glamour.
The picture opportunities were fabulous at the hotel. The rich warm colours and wow interiors captured my heart and imagination. I just hope I get an opportunity to photograph another wedding at this wonderful hotel.
