Ardington House Wedding Photography
History of Ardington House
I’ve only ever photographed one wedding at Ardington House. The interiors in the main house and wonderful gardens blew me away. In fact, as far as wedding photography backdrops go, it is a place that’s hard to beat for the sheer wow factor.
Edward Clarke commissioned Ardington House in the Baroque style with perfect symmetry and an emphasis on natural light throughout. Since 1939, the Baring family have owned it. You might remember the Barings as a family of bankers who established Barings Bank in 1762 and also went on to produce a number of well-known politicians in the 19th century. Portraits of various family members from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries now adorn the walls of the house.
