I have a relaxed documentary style, and this brings out your personality as well as the feeling of the day. Every wedding is different and special to each couple getting married.

I love to capture a mixture of your ideas and mine, documenting memories in a way you that will keep your special memories alive for many years to come. I have many years of experience as a wedding photographer, although I’ve only photographed six same sex weddings so far.

One of the things I love most about documenting gay weddings is that they’ve never been legally performed until more recently, so there are no traditions! I find each couple are creating their very own traditions, based on what’s most important to them. I love how the same sex and LGBT weddings I’ve photographed just don’t go the ‘expected route’, and they are all the more unique for this reason.

It’s great how there’s no tick list on the day, and couples just do their own thing; this is so refreshing! Couples don’t have to wear a particular outfit, or have certain flowers, or have a strict dress code. I think it’s fabulous that traditional gender roles just don’t apply for same sex or LGBT weddings.

I’ve learned very quickly that gay and LGBT couples do their weddings exactly the way they want them; the day is all the more magical as a result!
